A royal wedding, a missing princess, a brutal murder and the mysterious nightingale are what Pippa Rizzi and the young lad from the local coffee shop come up against in their quest to discover the truth behind a charade of political events inside the royal palace in “the neighbouring kingdom across the border”. This rattling good yarn is based on some of Hans Christian Andersen's best loved stories (The Swineherd, The Princess and the Pea, The Emperor's New Clothes, The Ugly Duckling, The Flying Trunk and The Nightingale) and makes a perfect pre Christmas treat for adults and children, especially fans of Michael Rosen, Roald Dahl, and J.K.
