The Night Garden archiveIt is July 1969 and with the flight of Apollo 11, mankind is about to take a giant leap. A time when expectations are immense and the world is heading for unexplored and exciting times. Set in Ireland, The Night Garden is the story of the Doyle family's struggle to confront change. Matriarch, Mary, fights to hold on to the old values, whilst eighteen year old Aisling dreams of England and a life of freedom. Twelve year old Orla wants to send a morse code message to the 'moon men' and no one knows what to do with Danny. The Night Garden is a generous, warm-hearted play which packs a powerful emotional punch. It will make you laugh and will tug at your heart strings.
