The Long Bones

The Long Bones

Work:: The Long Bones (S01770160587)

A soldier poet. Two beloved women. An ugly battlefield. Alun Lewis was clever, passionate and charismatic. He was a successful poet and a good soldier. Born in South Wales, he died suddenly while serving with the British army on the Arakan front in 1944. Why he died has always been a mystery. The Long Bones imagines Alun's last hours in the Burma jungle, and tells the powerful story behind the death of this fine war poet.
Author Juliet Aykroyd

CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021. It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
