The Lime Kilns is a sad but funny play about a working class Midlands family living out their chaotic lives against the background of a decaying pub. Set between the dying age of post war rationing and the vibrant and swinging sixties this unsophisticated place and time spawns a tender relationship between a young boy and a lonely man which gives hope at a time of family friction and despair.
