With the looming possibility of a marriage proposal, a gay Manhattanite couple Sam and Andy travel to Walter De Maria's world famous art installation, The Lightning Field. When they realize that their relationship mirrors that of their divorced parents who have joined them on the trip the resulting storm is an eruption of startling and raw emotions.
