The Last Yankee
Work:: The Last Yankee (S3918)
A compelling and rarely performed play. In a stage mental hospital, Patricia Hamilton is recovering from depression. This may be the day she feels strong enough to go home. but a visit from her husband, Leroy, a descendent of one of America's founding fathers, coincides with that of successful businessman, John Frick who has come to see his newly-admitted wife, Karen. A clash of values and emotions upset them all. Success it seems, can only be achieved by leaving this enclosed arena and making sense of an imperfect world beyond.
