The Last Kiss

Work:: The Last Kiss (S736265111)

The Last Kiss is set in 1930, the year in which Alfred Hitchcock premiered Britain's first purpose made talking picture - a moment of huge transition in the fortunes of many performers in the British film industry. This production has been created specially for The Pavilion Theatre, Worthing ? the historic site of Britain's first-ever public cinema screening, predating the purpose-built cinemas in Worthing and Brighton that soon followed. In a narrative that mixes fact and fiction and features a thirty-five piece orchestra, the audience will arrive just as a London-based film company is preparing to film the final scene of a make-or-break talking picture that will end in tragedy. With livelihoods and ultimately lives at stake, the audience enter the film-set through a secret door and become part of the final shot...
