The House of a Hundred Storeys archivePhysical piece about a hotel that is a relic to a lost era of elegance and eccentricity. Edith Trout died in 1975 having been a recluse for 16 years. When the hotel was opened they found an inner sanctum of walls constructed out of loaves of bread and a dining room prepared for 60 guests.
