The Great Divide archiveNever mind devolution, it's time for a revolution! Liverpool and Manchester have not always got on but there is one thing that they are agreed on - the North is better off without the South. The Mayors of these two great cities have put their heads together and come up with a plan to leave the South behind. With some careful planning and a bit of fracking the united North is making a break for it. Westminster have woken up to the fact that they might have to live in a country without Eccles Cakes and politeness so they are putting whatever spanners they can find into the works. Sabotage is the order of the day and the Government are not pulling any punches. A frenzied debate turns into all out war as the army takes to the streets. Can the North ever be free? Will Corrie be pay per view? Who wants Coventry?
