The Good Person of SzechwanT01436937572
Shen Teh, The Angel of the Slums, a good-hearted but penniless woman is given a gift of money by the Gods in order for her to continue with her kind deeds. The poor of Szechwan soon abuse her kindness and so, to survive, Shen Teh re-invents herself as a ruthless businessman - Shui Tal. This double life brings dilemma and strife and complications set in when Shen Teh falls in love. There is a growing suspicion of her mysterious absences and whilst in disguise as Shui Ta she is put on trial for the abduction of Shen Teh. Out of Brecht's sharpest and most exciting plays, with stunning music and mask.
