The Golden Ark (come hell or high water) archiveChipping Norton, at 700 feet above sea level, probably felt that flooding was one worry that it didn't need to bother itself with: being about 100 miles from Weston-Super-Mare and the highest point in Oxfordshire, there didn't seem any need: until this chap Noah shows up and starts making a fuss, and - worst of all - starts building 'come hell or high water' something definitely not in keeping with Cotswold stone architecture. Why? What on earth difference would it make?... But before you could say 'global catastrophe and this guy is nuts' - everyone is knocking at Noah's door. So who amongst us deserves a place on The Golden Ark?
