The Gay Detective

Work:: The Gay Detective (S3375)

When a Garda superintendent discovers his talented Sergeant is homosexual, he decides to turn the revelation to his advantage. Sent on the trail of a queer-basher, the police officer, pat, also discovers Ginger, his first real lover; but with the murder of a gay politician, his investigation becomes more complicated and the moral path becomes more like a Faustian pact. Set in Dublin, part Film Noir and part hard-boiled private-eye novel, 'The Gay Detective' is a provocative thriller, a comedy and a tender love story. An unflinching investigation into loyalty, betrayal and the private demons of sexual desire.
