A moving love story set in a Cheshire village during World War I. A young dairymaid, unsure of her feelings marries a local farmer - but realises on her wedding night that its all a big mistake. She runs away to her best friends house - her friends husband is at the Front and together they explore a love that will explode on Edwardian England like a bombshell.
