Lilia Rubin is a senior at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where she is pursuing a BFA in Drama. A Boston native, Lilia grew up with a love of theatre and an overwhelming desire to create something out of nothing. She was inspired to write The Fall two years ago when she stumbled upon The Legacy Letters, a text that features letters to the victims of 9/11 written by their family members. Lilia was struck by the fact that many of the letters were written by daughters to their fathers. She wanted to find a way to tell their story, to express in a theatrical setting how this national tragedy affected these young women's sense of self, maturation processes, relationships, spirituality, and outlooks on life - and so The Fall was born.
