A 21st century play about the oldest storyteller in the world: our subconscious. An East London school group set off on an overnight school trip to the remote mansion of an early black-and-white movie pioneer. Charles Somna was the legendary inventor of the Somnagraph, though Somna himself mysteriously disappeared... But no-one is there to meet the school party when they arrive. When they find a disused cinema in the basement, complete with working Somnagraph, they kick back for a night at the movies... But none of them are prepared for what they see on screen. Just what is a Somnagraph? Who are The Neverborn? And why does nobody - ever - get to leave that cinema?
