The Doll Tower archiveIt's 1923 at Bovington Tank regiment in Dorset. A couple of mysterious new recruits arrive raising the suspicions of the other recruits. One of the new recruits is T.E. Lawrence (of Arabia) now incognito as T.E. Shaw (of Dorset) and protected by his young Scots bodyguard John Bruce. Ronan O'Donnell pits Lawrence against the raw recruits of the day and the officers of the British Empire. Whilst attempting to write his masterpiece 'Seven Pillars of Wisdom', Lawrence seeks to find a little peace from the 'animal spirits' of other men. Those young men 'whose murderous dispatching mint new worlds' and then wait till the Old men come along and 'shape the peace'.
