The Corner Shop

Work:: The Corner Shop (S897171740)

The demise of the traditional corner shop in favour of the all-conquering supermarket has often been cited as part of the break-up of local community spirit. In 2006 The Evening Standard reported as part of their 'Save Our Shops' campaign that, in the previous five years, 7,000 family or individually-owned convenience stores had disappeared in Britain.
