In great teaching hospitals, thirsty for knowledge, starved of specimens to carry out their research, the anatomists must rely on nefarious means to supply their bloody trade. Robert Louis Stevenson creates a tale of suspense and intrigue as the classic ghost story unravels and Fettes and Macfarlane are forced to question their frail morality and finally their sanity.
