The Beautiful

The Beautiful

Work:: The Beautiful (S0263049539)

Petar Miloshevski's brand new production, called "The Beautiful", originated in a 15 min. solo-project, commissioned in June 2012 by the iconic Old Vic Tunnels. Following the audience's fantastic response, Petar is reshaping the show and transforming it into a full-length one-man performance, under the same name, but expanding on the original idea. "The Beautiful" aims at the core of the question: what is the beautiful and what is it to be beautiful? It tells the peculiar story of a character, who, imprisoned' in a world of his own, strives for a state of heightened beauty, without realising the true effect of his actions: physical decay and moral disintegration. Structured as a symphony of word, physicality, lighting and music, it explores the topic in surrealistic way, highlighting it with elements of expressionist physical theatre, provoking the audience's sensibility and emotionality.
