In his unique, dry and poetical style, Heiner Muller portrays seven individual battles between the body and the mind, between bestiality and humanity, in the collapsing German society of 1945. Since 1990, values and certainties have been turned upside down in the Balkans but Nedkov's production reminds us of our fundamental freedom to decide for ourselves.
