Amid war and desolation blooms a beautiful Korean folk tale about an angel who takes human form. An old woman steals the winged garments of an angel, so the angel will marry her woodcutter son. But when war arrives the son is forced to join the army, abandoning the angel who has to sell her body in order to survive. This renowned physical theatre production reaches out to Western audiences with its unique message of love, compassion and hope for humanity. Staged entirely without words to haunting Korean music, it is dramatic, uplifting and utterly compelling. Nominated for Amnesty's Freedom of Expression award 2007.
