HND Performing Arts Students from Suffolk College have worked with director [Orpha Phelan] on their own version of Sumidagawa - the No play upon which Curlew River is based. All aspects of Japanese No theatre have been explored, enabling the group to create their own contemporary interpretation through the music, theatre, movement and design. This performance is the culmination of a two week residency, organized by Aldeburgh Education. Supported by The Trusthouse Charitable Foundation A Japan 2001 project.
