In 2015, The Citizens Theatre's Young Company celebrates its 10th anniversary. Over the past decade the company has provided many young people aged 18-22 with opportunities to develop skills and make work, including over 16 productions. Our current crop of young theatre-makers has been working on a new project inspired by the Citizens' world premiere of Douglas Maxwell's Fever Dream: Southside. This new piece, Southside Stories, with a cast of 20, draws on interviews with a cross section of people who live and work in Govanhill, one of the most diverse and dynamic parts of our city. The production will also feature original music played live by a newly-formed Young Co. band.
