Soliloquies - Firelines

Work:: Soliloquies (S0485117962)

His wife's funeral leads Henry, an east end Londoner, to reminisce about his days as a fireman during the Second World War. A two-hander, Soliloquies is a dramatic rendering of the emotional conflicts, which are the consequences of the compromises, sacrifices, and betrayals that occur in times of war. When Henry's daughter Fay attempts to bridge the distance between generations, dark pasts are set alight.
Author Mark Rickman

Production:: Firelines (T375845439)

This is the playwright's stage debut, although the play received a rehearsed reading and tryout performance for one night only in June 2001 as part of the Blue Elephant's new wirting programme 'Hijack'.
