Forced to cope with redundancy in her fifties, Nancy finds comfort in a jar of pickled onions and her dressing gown. Living with her busy, impatient sister Nina and feeling old and frumpy, Nancy desperately needs a reason to get dressed. When she stumbles across a life-drawing class, what starts as a hobby unexpectedly provides a new lease of life. A bittersweet comedy about two sisters who rediscover life in their fifties, Sitting Pretty dispels the myth that growing older means giving up. Sitting Pretty contains nudity within the context of the play.
