Sinking Flesh Thinking Flesh

Sinking Flesh Thinking Flesh

Work:: Sinking Flesh Thinking Flesh (S01537100349)

"Your body is not a temple, it's an amusement park. Enjoy the ride." A lady stares at her spouse who is in a coma. A student leader faces interrogation. A daughter cleans up his father who has dementia. A husband beats up his wife. A widow searches for her partner's remains in the battlefield. A eunuch looks at his deep fried penis. A nanny massages a baby. A HIV+ man shops for his coffin. A woman washes her body with lavender shower gel. A man blocks a line of military tanks. God stands trial. Meet us in the flesh as we embark on a journey through a vast array of personas from Singaporean and Chinese play texts where we trivialize, challenge, reconcile and transform our bodies to crack some harmless jokes and expose more uneasy truths. Introspective, honest and sometimes outrageous, the performance will evoke in you a rediscovery of the pleasures and pains of the flesh.
