Scotland the Brave: An Incomplete History of Scotland (part 1)

Work:: Scotland the Brave: An Incomplete History of Scotland (part 1) (S1820202047)

This show is a light-hearted whirlwind tour through Scottish history from 1286 when Alexander III fell off his horse through to the declaration of Arbroath in 1320 covering all the important bits in between. The whole period of history is told by a band of travelling players who take on literally dozens of roles and give answers to such question as: What really happened when 13 people all baggsied the throne of Scotland? Did Edward I of England really meet William Wallace and did he look like Mel Gibson? Why was Stirling such a popular area for battles? Why are the Norwegians, Irish and English involved anyway? Why did anyone want to steal a big stone? All this and more will be revealed.
