Scarlatti's Revenge archiveWho is the greatest composer of the last 1000 years? Bach, Handel? Or their long-forgotten contemporary Domenico Scarlatti? In an audacious bid to hijack the history of music and be declared THE greatest composer of all time, Domenico Scarlatti has devised a competition to claim the recognition he deserves. Gasp at their digital dexterity, Sigh at the mellifluous melodies, Weep at the heavenly harmonies as they seek to win your favours with extracts of live virtuoso music, ranging from Mozart to movie themes, and from Latin rhythms to castrato choruses. Capturing the rivalry between the three composers, Scarlatti's Revenge is the third in a series of classical music spoofs by the amazing Natural Theatre Company dedicated to this prolific Italian composer.
