In picture-perfect Flaming Tree Grove, a little girl called Ruby sets off to visit her grandma at the end of the street, but she never arrives. Her parents spiral into sorrow and suspicion. How could Ruby have disappeared in the street where she lived? She's been gone a long time. The police have stopped calling and they've been told to expect the worst. And then a strange and suspicious package appears on their doorstep. In a last attempt to find out what happened to her, they're going to take one side of the street each and interview their neighbours.
Ruby Moon is an absurd, nighmarish portrayal of the damage grief can do to a family. A tour-de-force, for only two actors,
Ruby Moon is by award-winning Australian playwright Matt Cameron and looks into the surreal reality of suburban life and what happens behind closed curtains.
