As a luxury liner steams its way across the Atlantic, Turai and Gal try frantically to finish their play in time for the New York opening. But the show depends on the music of a young composer - who can't compose because his girl friend, the leading lady, seems to be rekindling an old flame with the show's leading man, who isn't ready to admit that he is no longer the lover he was in his somewhat distant youth.
