Romeo and Juliet

Romeo and Juliet

Work:: Romeo and Juliet (S4789)

The story of frustrated young (illegally young in modern terms) love and death and the vendetta between two families in a tight-knit Italian community. One of Shakespeare's most popular and enduring dramas it has also been re-done as film, ballet, musical (most notably "West Side Story") and ice spectacular!
Author Shakespeare

Production:: (T01874731994)

Romeo & Juliet is one of the world's most timeless stories, full of comedy, romance, poetry and strife. We are giving the star-crossed lovers a shake up by having women/non binary young people play the title roles. Our Verona is a town on the English seaside where Montagues and Capulets are having a turf war in the midst of roller-skating, ice cream runs and beach hut renovations. This summer, re-discover one of Shakespeare's classics like you've never seen - or heard! - it before, with the classic text and contemporary songs, created by the young company themselves.
