Schools Only. Cumbernauld Theatre Company is creating an exciting and innovative education project using Shakespeare’s text of Romeo and Juliet. This new initiative is an exciting workshop production that gives students the opportunity to practically investigate Shakespeare’s play and to fully see and hear how the language and action of Shakespeare can be shaped by their ideas. This dynamic approach - a combination of workshop and performance - enables students at all levels to deepen their understanding of the relationship between Romeo and Juliet and its key themes, characterisations and actions.
