Robert and Elizabeth archiveA musical play, inspired by the intriguing love affair between two of England's most famous poets, Robert Browning and Elizabeth Barrett. It is a true story of despair, hope and the realisation of a dream, of two kindred spirits drawn together through their common love of poetry. It tells of obedience and smouldering rebellion within the stereotypical Victorian family. A puritanical and darkly obsessive father, an outrageously flirtatious cousin, a floppishly funny army officer and an egotistical actor - all contribute to the inevitable conclusion.
