Relish archiveMr Alexis Soyer: Inventor, cook, philanthropist and bigamist. Soyer was more than just sauce and rose to being one of the most celebrated and respected young talents in early Victorian Britain but whose fame and notoriety ultimately became his downfall. Inspired by Ruth Cowen's book and written by the young award-winning Graham, Relish will be a large ensemble spectacle with as much cheek as a juicy rump steak but with a chilling after taste that resonates with today's obsession with celebrity.
