A run-down motel room plays host to a disparate group of individuals desperately hoping to sort out their lives. Young couple RJ and Denise are trying hard. Their daughter is in care and Denise will do anything to get her back. RJ would anything too, only he's too busy shouting at talk shows on the TV to realise that his own family would make a Ricky Lake special. The social worker comes to assess this odd pair and risks her life in doing so! Can the drunken caretaker help? Life's absurdities are revealed in this modern day tragedy.
