Passing Out Parade archiveSet in 1944, this all female production follows the fortunes of a group of Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) recruits as they undergo their six weeks training. Centered on the girls' barrack room, we witness first-hand the tensions of War for this ill-assorted, awkward military unit, giving a unique insight into the ATS during World War II. Songs of the period including There'll Always Be an England and Kiss Me Goodnight Sergeant Major intersperse moments of comedy and heartbreaking tragedy, bringing alive once more the spirit of Britain during the War.
