Set in 1944, this all female production follows the fortunes of a group of Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) recruits as they undergo their six weeks training. Centered on the girls' barrack room, we witness first-hand the tensions of War for this ill-assorted, awkward military unit, giving a unique insight into the ATS during World War II.
