Pals archiveOpening in 1985, history student Tom is meeting Bill, an 85-year-old survivor of the Somme and member of the famous Chorley Pals. As Bill tells the story of his life growing up in Chorley, and then life in the trenches of the Somme we get a picture of the lives, loves and battles facing the Pals as the play shifts between 1915, 1985, and finally to present-day. A play about remembrance and memory and 'pals' - Tom and Bill's friendship; and those friends who fought and died at the Somme.
