Outer Body archiveDoo Cot will establish themselves in the theatre space, living and working within the building, creating a laboratory in which to experiment with new ideas and forms of performance. This is an installation - an experience - rather than a conventional piece of theatre. A solo performer will link up via the web with a team of other artistes to manipulate worlds, sound, light and sculpture. A series of viewings will allow spectators to observe and interact with the work in progress, leading to a final continuous performance. Outer Body 0 What is human and how does it exist? This 'occupation' of the theatre space will echo the mundanity and isolation of space travel. Doo Cot will be sealed in a functioning bubble of creativity and experiment but observed simultaneously in another place. The spectators will witness and scrutinise human existence as the artist are forced to negotiate their physical, mental, real and virtual space. In this 'experiment' the one 'true human' in the group is allowed to create her own 'lifeforms'. Others assist with circuitry, light, sound and words linked through the virtual world of computers.
