Of Another World

Of Another World

Work:: Of Another World (S1133737702)

Standing expectantly underneath railway arches with a letter of promise from his long-time friend, Jo waits. The longer Jo waits the less able he is to step out on his own, trapped between worlds too new ahead and trains escaping too fast overhead. Of Another World witnesses an individual's gradual loss of self in an alien environment in a tale of migration and belonging about the experience of a newly arrived immigrant.

Production:: (T423529071)

The notion that perhaps some people just aren't meant for some places comes through the emotional depiction of the desire to belong in this collaboration between award winning poet and playwright Avaes Mohammad and acclaimed theatre makers Wax Baby Productions.
