Numbers/Embassyland archiveNumbers: A comedy set in the midst of a power struggle at an English girls' public school. The vicious Katherine Judah is desperate to be the new Head Girl, and the atmosphere in the study dorm an hour before the crucial announcement is tense. The play examines the themes of identity, bullying, cruelty and the paradoxes of boarding school life - great luxury yet primitive behaviour; huge erudition yet emotional immaturity. Embassyland: A police detective is denied a promotion and a suspect is being interrogated. Society's values and norms are strained to breaking point as it becomes unclear who is guilty of what and where the contradictions lie between morality, taste and the law.
