Set in an exclusive nursing home in Buenos Aires, the play explores the relationship between a rich cantankerous old lady, devastated by the death of her grandson, and her diffident nurse. But the nurse is not all she appears to be, which leads to some elaborate games and deception, culminating in moments of gripping suspense. It is a touching and uplifting play, full of delightful humour and penetrating insights, in which the characters act out their dreams and fantasies, finally discovering joy in mutual friendship.
