My Name is Antonino Calderone archiveAntonino's confessions are distilled to 70 minutes where the man looks back on his life and warns against joining the Mafia. He urges his fellow Italians to say "no." As if it was that easy. The New Shoes Theatre production is as adaptable as the man on the run, adjusting to the environment, slotting in quietly under the radar. Calderone now finds himself in the basement of a Brighton hotel. Wherever he is, his stories about his life in the Mafia remain the same and he wants the world to hear them and to learn from his harsh experience. The real man has become famous amongst the many ?Pentito' for being a true repentant and here we play out his confessions.
