Short Nights return to the Southwark Playhouse with a double bill... MUTINY. Weaving film, movement and music to construct two surreal worlds where betrayal and deceit reign, Short Nights tell two stories: PART ONE: DANIEL AND THE SPIDER - 'I'm biting what I'm given... There isn't time to chew' As jobs are lost and monsters made, a man is faced with a giant spider and a thirst for power. What does it take to succeed in a building that slowly slips into the inhuman? How does an individual truly gain control? PART TWO: A WAKE 'I wanted to be like Elvis... To disappear into a world of myth' A woman has been killed and questions need answering. A young girl travels to the funeral of her deceased friend where she discovers not only a family immersed in grief, but a world where grief is oblivion, and where there are secrets which are burning to be discovered... Also presenting Live Art, devised performance, film and music at the after party in the bar space on all three nights.
