Mud archiveMae is in her early twenties. All her life she has lived on a farm in rural USA. As a child, her father brought her a playmate - Lloyd. Now, they squabble like children, they talk like children, and they make love like adults. Neither of them can read, but Mae is learning. She wants more than this life, stuck on the edges of society, wading through society's garbage. Torn between two men and her desire for a better life, Mae believes that learning is her only way out. Horrifying and unnervingly funny by turns, Mud hurtles towards a shocking climax.
