The 1920's was a fantastic era. No decade of the 20th century had as much distinctive flavour and atmosphere. A period of social, artistic, and cultural dynamism the likes of which have not been seen since. It was a great age of popular entertainment and radio was the must have item of the day. Above all it was the age of the cinema and we were introduced to the likes of Rudolf Valentino and Charlie Chaplin. Amusement, fun and lightness were cultivated in jazz and dancing, in defiance of the horrors of World War I, which remained present in people's minds.
Moonshine to Stardust captures the essence of that decade beginning naturally in 1920 and proceeds year by year to a climactic 1929. This fact based show uses material only written or performed in this wonderful 10 year period. A lively show with sketches, music, comedy, dance and monologues all interconnected with a plethora of information to satisfy any history buff in this delightful look at the Jazz Era.
