Mogomotsiemang (Who Will Comfort Me) archiveThe oldest desert in the world is the Namib, situated in the south west of Africa, in the newly independent Republic of Namibia. In the east of Namibia, the famous Kalahari Desert stretches into Botswana where the last of an ancient people struggle to survive. Mogomotsiemang (Who Will Comfort Me) is an African tale of a hunter who teaches his son desert survival skills...until a dream, a lion and the ancestors intervene...A musical drama, the production features a narrator speaking Tswana (part of the famous 'click' languages and translated in English) supported by a chorus singing and dancing traditional Namibian songs of the region.
