It is several years before Marilyn's untimely death. Her stardom has reached chaotic heights and she flees to a quiet hotel where, booked in under a pseudonym, she tries to escape the demands hoisted upon her by the public, the industry, friends and lovers. It is whilst she is at the hotel she meets a stranger and, in the privacy of her room, opens up about her life and childhood. The play reveals aspects of Marilyn not usually seen. It is funny, tragic, warm, shocking - yet in her own astute words, "It's the truth as she sees it."
