Mad, Bad and Dangerous archiveLord Byron's charm, good looks and poetry are legendary, but so was his reputation. What would a modern, twentieth century woman, transported back to Lord Byron's era make of him? This was the task faced by saxophonist and singer Jo Freya when the Byron Festival commissioned her to produce a new work looking at this 'Poet terrible from a woman's perspective. With fellow musician/composer Kathryn Locke, Jo rose to the occasion. Together they have created a programme of songs, music and stories, which is both humorous and moving.
