Mad and Merry Monarchs

Work:: Mad and Merry Monarchs (S947761511)

Author Alan Courtney

Production:: (T1916451100)

Touring for the thirteenth (unlucky for some) year running, Mad Dogs will fly in the face of superstition and bring to audiences young and old, a comedic romp of unquestionable historical accuracy, with no poetic license taken whatsoever. Audiences will be able to see Mad Dogs latest production, 'Mad & Merry Monarchs' in places of scenic beauty and historical interest across East Anglia and select venues in the south west. With friends, a picnic and a glass of wine, the audience can just sit back and join three actors as they journey through British royal history. By way of songs, slapstick and silliness, the actors will un-stuff the stuffiness, make you laugh and even re-kindle an interest in history.

CORONAVIRUS: All venues in the UK were shut down on March 16, 2020, and the restrictions were finally lifted on July 19, 2021. It is important to mention that the UK Theatre Web archive listings (iUKTDb) from March 2020 to July 2021 might not be accurate due to the lack of information regarding rescheduled and cancelled shows.
