So they beat her up and steal her ticket. But JoLayne's not going to take that lying down. She gets together with Tom Krome - investigative journalist - hungry for ACTION. A wild chase ensues as JoLayne and Tom pursue the two heavily-armed psychopaths, their dim-bulb young recruit and a Hooter's waitress... that's Amber, their sexy hostage (oh those long long legs...) to a climax that explodes with all the wild and hilarious mayhem that is Carl Hiaasen's hallmark.
